What this error means is that one of the “blobs” that should be displayed in the list of reports was unable to be resolved.

As background, each of the references you see in the PAX Open dialog box is actually a reference to an Excel file, rather than the Excel file itself. PAX saves each version of a report as a different Excel file on the TM1 server. When you select the report, the “blob” opens the referred Excel file. If the file referred to no longer exists, the blob is considered broken and none of the reports will display in the Open dialog.

To resolve it, you need to find which file has the broken blob and remove it from the folder that is read. This needs to be done either in Architect using the Application folder, or at the File System level by your TM1 administrator. They will find the offending blob in the }Applications folder on the server and remove it.

Once it is removed, re-open the folder and you should be able to see the reports.

If needed, they could then go to the }Externals folder, open the most recent version of the Excel and re-publish it to the TM1 server. This would create a new blob and an updated file in }Externals.
